BIOGRAPHIE
Julien Nicolas est né en 1982, il commence la musique à l’âge de 10ans, en prenant des cours de batterie avec Christophe Drigon (Mano solo…), puis rejoint en 1998 l’école Agostini de Chalon sur Saône avec Marc Lagrange où il décrocha son prix de Supérieur…
Parallèlement, il joue dans diverses formations locales (A-KA-THA, divers orchestres, battucada, tournée en France, pologne,…)
En 2003, il rentre dans le groupe FURIA, avec qui il enregistre l’un des tout premiers DVD live de métal français (la source noire-2004), ainsi que le 3ème album « Khéros » (distribution internationale par Season Of Mist) et tourne dans toute la France, Suisse, Belgique (environ 150 concerts…) en partageant l’affiche avec des groupes tels que Gojira, Dagoba, Hacride, Slayer, Soilwork, in Flames…).
En 2005, Julien intègre le groupe français Beyon-d-lusion, avec qui il enregistre le 1er album du groupe (distribué par Adipocère-2005).En 2007, il rentre au sein du groupe Akirise, avec qui il enregistre le 1er album (Brouillez l’écoute-2007), ainsi que le groupe de pop rock The Nuances (signé chez Coriace management), puis le groupe PHIL, avec qui il réalise pas moins d’une centaine de dates…
En 2010, Julien rentre au sein du groupe KELLS (metal), et enchaîne les tournées partout en Europe jusqu’à la fin de l’année 2011… Puis enregistre le 3ème album du groupe signé chez Season Of Mist.
A côté de ça, Julien donne des cours particuliers au sein de son école de batterie parrainé par DW/PDP depuis environ 10 ans…

BIOGRAPHY
Julien Nicolas was born in 1982, he started playing music by taking drum lessons with Christophe Drigon (Mano Solo). He joined The Agostini School in 1998, with Marc Lagrange as his drum teacher in Chalon sur Saône, where he managed and obtained the "Superior Diploma". At the same time, he was playing in many local trainings like A-KA-THA, orchestras, battacuda, and tours in France and Poland.
In 2003, he joined the band called Furia, with whom he recorded one of the first French metal-music DVD (La Source Noire, 2004) and also their third album « Khéros »
(internationally distributed by Season Of Mist). They did around 150 gigs in France, Switzerland, Belgium...sharing the top of the bill with bands like Gojira, Dagoba, Hacride, Slayer, Soilwork, In Flames.
In 2005, Julien joined the French band Beyon-d-Lusion, together they recorded their first album (distributed by Adipocère Record, 2005).
In September 2006, he signed an endorsement with DW, Aquarian, Zildjian, Evans and Pro Orca.
In 2007, he joined the band called Akirise with whom he recorded their first album (Brouillez l'Ecoute, 2007); the pop-rock band The Nuances (signed with Coriace Management), and the band PHIL, they did around one hundred gigs...
In 2010, Julien joined the metal band KELLS and followed tours everywhere in Europe until the end of 2011. Then, he recorded the third album of the band, signed with Season Of Mist.
For the last ten years, Julien has also been giving private lessons in his own drum school, sponsored by DW/PDP".
